The process of selling his enterprise, as a rule, can force the entrepreneur to face additional problems. The questions arising about the preparation of a business plan, cost and sales conditions are often distracted from the main activity. The advice of friends and acquaintances is not so much helping as they can be misleading, and the search for assistance in the sales agency rarely leads to success and the expected result. And often the businessman sells his business at all at the wrong price that he was counting on, or completely refuses to sell. Only the intermediary remains in the winnings.
Typically, the first meeting with an intermediary is as follows: the intermediary naturally promises help on sale at interest with the proceeds. If, for any reason, the customer with an intermediary does not come to an agreement, then the decision is postponed for an indefinite period. The intermediary is actively working only with those objects that he considers as the most promising, and for the rest, resorts to waiting tactics. Over time, the customer may change circumstances, and he agree to the proposed conditions. Otherwise, the customer’s business will remain unclaimed, which will make him reduce the price. This is especially true if the owner intends to make a deal within a short time.
Sometimes an entrepreneur, not seeing another way out of the situation, places an announcement of sale on the Internet, where he meets the same acquaintances of intermediaries. Many consider the Internet a universal ad. And they are largely right. The Internet makes it possible to turn to a huge number of potential buyers simultaneously. But if all the hopes for selling only on the “World Wide” are assigned, then the probability of such a transaction will be extremely small.
Unfortunately, such a picture is typical of our modern business. Entrepreneurs do not get an understanding that business has only the cost that the buyer will pay.
The intermediary, in turn, does not participate in the purchase itself. He is only a connecting link between those who sell and those who buy. A competent person engaged in sales can sell anything. The necessary conditions for his work are sufficient financing, and broad powers. If you want to sell your business quickly and for worthy money, you should rely only on yourself, avoiding dependence on intermediaries.
