Trademarks can be registered and recognizable not only within our country – companies that want to enter the European market, register trademarks and brands for EU states.
A modern exporting company, which produces wardrobes in Moscow and leading commercial activities as a legal entity of the Russian Federation, has the legal right to register trademarks that have power not only within our country, but also in all countries of the European Union. This is very important for large companies that produce and send their products to many EU countries and are already completely ready to expand their own sales market and strengthen their business reputation and economic influence.
Even if your trademark has not yet been used, you can register it in order to allocate new products manufactured by the company, whether it is a new alcoholic drink or a wardrobe of a compartment of which is quite high. The certificate of registration of the trademark received in the prescribed manner will give the right to dispose of its intellectual property at its own discretion – to successfully sell or leave in the company for further use.
Nowadays, registration of trademarks for the states of the European Union is carried out for a period of ten years. But after the deadline, the ownership of the trademark will be irrevocably lost – today there is an opportunity to extend the registration of TM for any desired period without legislative restrictions, and a previously registered trademark will be your property, without transferring the right to use it by other business entities of the European community. As in any country in the world, the registration of trademarks in the EU is a complete guarantee of its comprehensive legal protection as part of the intellectual property of the company – the applicant who offers to buy a wardrobe in Moscow and wants to enter the European market.
It is possible to acquire a trademark valid for the EU for more than 14 years, starting from January 1996 – a decision when the decision was made on the need to introduce a single trademark operating in all states of the European Union. The applicants need to draw up and submit one application in order to receive the registration of a trademark at a time for all the countries of the European Union. The procedure for registration, as is adopted in relation to internal registration of TM, begins with a preliminary professional examination that studies the presence of similar or close in the name of brands registered or only beginners, or undergoing state registration of trademarks at a given time. After the issuance of the certificate of registration of trademarks, the new brand will be legally protected in 25 countries of the European Union.
